RACE FINISH: St. Katherine's Docks, London, UK
I am lucky enough to be in the UK for the 2015/2016 race finish!! It brings back many memories, of the 2013/14 race finish, when I was able to join my team on the stage, and be "welcomed home". Not sure if I'll be able to hold/keep my emotions under control! Here's hoping!
Well, what can I say... An amazing finish to an incredible race... The atmosphere was just incredible! I took a walk, quite early in the morning through race village and what a hive of activity it was. The clipper crew staff, Henri Lloyd staff, Garmin staff, food stalls, security, all buzzing around and getting ready for the arrival of the 2015/2016 Clipper Fleet.
I was able to get hold of some Clipper Flags, and make sure that lots of people had them ready to welcome to fleet home, as well as keeping youngsters happy!! Once the time was getting close, I headed to the entrance of St Katherine's Lock to film the fleet pass under tower bridge. WHAT AN AMAZING VIEW!
